I set up two drying racks in its place and have a clothes line that hangs in the basement. Little stuff goes on the racks, jeans and towels/sheets go on the line, and shirts go on hangers. I kind of love it. I promised my husband we'd go get a new dryer before it really snows, here.Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05241456569629357238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636380768209162704.post-37493684176673405282011-07-11T06:14:53.324-07:002011-07-11T06:14:53.324-07:00I love hanging laundry out but have let myself use...I love hanging laundry out but have let myself use the dryer w/o guilt when its raining on laundry day, or when I just need it done NOW.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02329566601461112910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636380768209162704.post-47785290257226294912011-07-11T04:50:17.656-07:002011-07-11T04:50:17.656-07:00My dryer broke over the winter so I decided to mak...My dryer broke over the winter so I decided to make use of all the children sized clothes hangers that my sister gave me. All my 2 year olds clothes fit perfectly on them (and my 7 and 5 yo too!). I would just hang them on the curtain rods with a little space between them. They dry overnight and keep the humidity level up in the dry house. @Sewing-chick- I also hung a clothes line inside my house. I put up a hook in the top of the doorway moulding and across the room to the top of the window moulding and strung a line. I made loops on the end so I can just take it down when needed! It works well! I have and old house with thick, strong moulding so make sure you anchor your hooks to something strong! Hope this helps someone!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636380768209162704.post-43059993134450288382011-07-10T14:23:50.116-07:002011-07-10T14:23:50.116-07:00Sweet and Savory, I can COMPLETELY understand! I have the same here plus a couple of teenagers that have to change their clothes multiple times a day!

Sewing chick, that is crazy you can't have a clothes line. Is it against an ordinance or something? Maybe you would be interested in the dryer balls. It may decrease the amount of time you run your dryer.Frugal Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15190205304276427805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636380768209162704.post-13235069236088527042011-07-09T16:11:38.289-07:002011-07-09T16:11:38.289-07:00We're not allowed to have a clothes line where...We're not allowed to have a clothes line where we live :( At our old house, we had a huge laundry room, so I could hang some things up inside, however at this house, my laundry room is tiny with a capital T and also is the entryway into the house from the garage. No hanging laundry here!Sewing-Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13282532221695943114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636380768209162704.post-43694926538936729062011-07-09T12:03:39.653-07:002011-07-09T12:03:39.653-07:00I feel like there is never ending laundry at our h...I feel like there is never ending laundry at our house as well.
