I started this blog back in 2009 after my family and I did a 30 Days of Nothing Challenge. For this challenge my family tried to cut back on all our expenses, utilities, groceries, entertainment costs, you name it. We were able to save a lot of money that month and it truly changed our lives forever. We created a budget, developed new spending habits, and have found lots of new ways to save money.
Along with saving money, we are also on a quest to start eating better too. This means purchasing more locally grown foods and growing more of our own food. I love to garden. We have a large garden, a few fruit trees and are in our fifth
year of being backyard chicken owners!
My blog basically gives you a mixed bag of ways to save money, coupon offers, recipes, gardening ideas, homestead happenings, greener living and anything else that I find interesting. Feel free to grab yourself a cup of coffee, make yourself at home and look around.
