Mondays Weekly Menu Plan

Here is what is on the menu for this week.

Monday- Pulled pork nachos, corn.
Tuesday- Breaded chicken legs, beans, mashed potatoes.
Wednesday- Lo Mein and peas
Thursday- Chili and corn bread
Friday- Homemade Pizza
Saturday- Steak, shrimp, green beans
Sunday- Spaghetti, sausage, salad

Menu Plan Monday or Tuesday?!?

Memorial Day weekend has me all messed up!  I forgot to post this yesterday!  Here is what is on our menu for the week.

Monday:  Hamburgers, cheese sticks, tots, salad.

Tuesday:  Indoor picnic!!  This is one of our favorites.  We have cheese, crackers, salami, bread and vinegar and oil.  We eat downstairs on a blanket and watch a movie!

Wednesday:  Chicken Breast, rice and peas.

Thursday:  Baked Ziti and salad

Friday:  Homemade pizza

Saturday:  BBQ pork, brussels sprouts.

Sunday:  Chicken legs, roasted or mashed potatoes, salad.

Mondays Weekly Menu Plan

Here is what's on the menu this week.

Monday:  Chicken hindquarters, peas, fries.
Tuesday:  Chicken tacos, salad.
Wednesday:  Pork loin, green beans, rice.
Thursday:  Brats, chips, corn.
Friday:  Pad Thai, peas.
Saturday:  Homemade Pizza
Sunday:  Steak, roasted potatoes, brussels sprouts.

Mondays Weekly Menu Plan

If you are new to the blog, I like to post our menu for the week on Mondays.  Having a plan for dinner each night is really helpful, especially when we have a busy week of events planned.  We have not been to the grocery store since April 9th!!  We have only been able to do that because we had a huge stockpile of meat (we buy large quantities when on sale) and a huge supply of home canned goods.  We are starting to run low and even have run out of a few items, so this week is pretty boring!  We have kind of turned it into a game/challenge to see how long we can go without going to the grocery store.  We have been pounding through our canned fruits and veggies but we are really craving some fresh produce and cheese so this is probably the week we will look into doing some shopping! 

Here is this weeks menu. 

Monday:  Spaghetti, brussel
sprouts, and OUR FIRST SALAD of the year from our own garden!! 
D has been growing lettuce in some pots in his bedroom window and we have a pot of spinach outside.  It was amazing to have some fresh greens!

Tuesday:  Pork loin, broccoli

Wednesday:  Chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes (with fresh chives) corn

Thursday:  Soup (TBD on what kind)

Friday:  Steak, homemade fries, peas

Saturday:  BBQ pork, green beans

Sunday:  Chicken hindquarters, rice, broccoli

Menu Plan Monday


This is our second week of  not assigning a day to our meal and simply writing our menu on the chalk board.  It worked well last week.  Once we make one of the meals we just erase it from the board.  We found some chicken and corn beef soup that we had frozen from March so that was added to our menu this week.  It's kinda fun going through our freezers.  We had a lot more food than we originally thought and we are clearing it out and making room!

Menu Plan Monday

I'm doing something different with my menu plan this week.  Instead of assigning a meal to each night I am just going to list 5 different meals that we have available on our board in the kitchen.  Then each morning we can decide which of the meals we have time for, are hungry for or are needing to eat sooner than later.  As for sides, we have an assortment of both fruits and vegetables that are canned so we will just grab something each night. So here is what our options are for the week.

BLT's
Brats
Spaghetti
Pizza Boats
Tacos
Cheese, crackers and sausage

Pretty boring I know.  I need to get motivated to make some new meals!

After having my husband home for a week I am ready to get back to following a menu plan.  We splurged a lot last week so my goal for this week is to eat at home every night.  Here is what is on our menu for the week.

It's a new month and a fresh start to actually stick with our budget as well as our menu plan!

Menu Plan Monday


My hubby and I are doing pretty good staying low carb and low sugar.  We finished our Dr. Oz diet a couple weeks ago but we have incorporated some new habits.  We are continuing to start our day with warm lemon water and eat the breakfast smoothie each morning.  I am back to drinking coffee but I have gone from 1 pot a day down to just 1-2 cups each morning.  

Myfitnesspal has helped us stay on track.  We log our food, weight, and exercise daily.  It's actually almost fun because we are doing it together.  Both of us have been trying to work out a few times each week and slowly we are starting to feel and look healthier!  We started this journey 28 days ago and so far we have lost a combined total of 29 lbs!  

Here's what's on the dinner table this week.  

Monday-Low carb baked enchilada's, green beans.  
Tuesday-Ditto.  Thought we would eat it all tonight-no such luck.  Will switch up our side to corn.
Wednesday-Homemade pizzas, raw broccoli and carrots, applesauce.
Thursday-Chili, corn bread.
Friday-Dinner with friends!

Menu Plan Monday

Menu planning is a little tricky this week.  The hubby and I are still doing our 2 week detox diet.  So I am trying to incorporate some of the same foods that we are eating into dinner for my kids.  Here is what is on the dinner table this week.

Monday-Baked Tilapia, brown rice, asparagus.  Kids-Spaghetti with homemade spaghetti sauce, green beans, garlic cheese bread, peaches.

Tuesday-Chicken breast, brown rice, asparagus.  Kids-Chicken quesadillas, corn, pears.

Wednesday-Baked Mahi Mahi, brown rice, broccoli.  Kids-Beef hotdogs, broccoli, peaches.

Thursday-Baked chicken legs, brown rice, sauteed zucchini and squash.  Kids-Chicken legs, corn, lettuce salad, applesauce.

Friday-Baked Tilapia, brown rice, sauteed broccoli with garlic and EVOO.  Kids-Clean out the fridge, leftovers.

Menu Plan Monday

Last week was a total bust for dinners.  We ate out most of the week and spent WAY too much money doing so.  I guess that is ok once in awhile, as long as we don't make a habit of it right?  That's what I'm telling myself anyway.  Planning on eating home all week, so here is what is on the menu.

Monday...Pad Tai, lettuce salad and mandarin oranges.
Tuesday...Cavatelli, garlic breadsticks, green beans, fruit.
Wednesday...Scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, applesauce.
Thursday...Tacos and pineapple.
Friday...Fish, french fries, corn, peaches and blueberry muffins.

Menu Plan Monday

I am thumbing through cookbooks and nothing sounds good for dinners.  I went through my freezer this weekend so we will be using up some of the items that I found in there.

Monday...Mini pizza's (using hamburger buns, cooked sausage I found in the freezer, and leftover spaghetti sauce in the fridge), pineapple, green beans.
Tuesday...Beef burgers (already cooked in freezer), homemade fries (using my new Pampered Chef fry peeler!), peaches and lettuce salad.
Wednesday...Enchilada's (going to make homemade enchilada seasoning like I did with taco seasoning), mandarin oranges, lettuce salad.
Thursday...I won't be home for dinner because I have conferences-making it easy on the hubby.  Cheese, crackers and venison sausage, pears and carrot sticks.
Friday...Chicken Tetrezzini (new recipe), peas, apples.

Menu Plan Monday

It's the start of a new week.  This is a busy week for us with running around every evening.  I cooked up some chicken breasts over the weekend for the hubby for lunches and I overcooked them so you will see chicken incorporated into my meals below. Don't want to see them go to waste.

Here is what I have planned for dinners.

Monday...Homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and mixed fruit.
Tuesday...Pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, peas, mixed fruit.
Wednesday...Homemade pizza, greenbeans, pineapple.
Thursday...Chicken quesidillas or nachos, mandarin oranges, corn.
Friday...Leftovers, clean out the fridge.

Tuesday...Nachos, pineapple.
Wednesday...Pancakes, scrambled eggs, oranges.
Thursday...Happy Valentine's Day!  Grilled steak, baked potatoes, dinner rolls, salad and strawberries.
Friday...Clean out the fridge.  Eat up all the leftovers.
