I've said it before but I LOVE my bread machine. Anything that can cut my work load down and save me time is my friend! I pretty much make all my bread doughs in there now. I can make rolls, bread sticks, french bread, cinnamon rolls, and sandwich bread in half the time now using my bread machine. Here is a really wonderful recipe for bread sticks. It just so happens to be the recipe I use for my dinner rolls as well. Ingredients:
3/4 cup warmed milk (I microwave it for about 45 sec)
6 tsp butter softened
1 slightly beaten egg
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour ( I use 2 cups bread flour, 1 cup of wheat flour)
1 1/2 teaspoon yeast
Place in order into bread machine, set on dough cycle. Once cycle is complete pull out and place on flour surface. Divide dough in half. Roll into rectangle and use pizza cutter to make sticks. Place on greased cookie sheet, bake 350 for about 10 minutes. My oven cooks fast so you may want to watch them.
Once they are done brush tops with melted butter and garlic salt.
These look so good! Thanks for the recipe. I love all forms of bread. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper Simple recipe! I too use my machine for almost all mixing! thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteyum! My bread machine died, so now I use my KitchenAid for mixing. Not quite as convenient but it works.
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I've been trying to make bread more and I'm so proud of myself. Thanks for the inspiration!!
