Postage Stamp Increase


The post office will get an extra 2 cents when you mail a letter starting May 11, 2009. The price of the first-class stamp will go up to $.44.

I would stock up on the Forever Stamps. They will continue to sell at the current 42-cent rate until the increase occurs. They will remain valid in the future regardless of rate hikes.

    I just save myself the hassle by paying all bills online(which is free) so I rarely use stamps anyway. The only time I buy them is for Christmas cards.
