Easy Homemade Corn Bread

1 Cup all purpose flour
1 Cup yellow, white or blue cornmeal ( I use yellow)
2-4 Tablespoons of sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup oil or melted shortening
~In a mixing bowl stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
~In another bowl beat together eggs, milk and oil.
~Add to flour mixture and mix just until batter is smooth. (Do not over mix)
~Pour into a greased 9x9x2 pan. Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes or till golden brown.

Makes 9 servings.
