I made my weekly Fareway stop tonight. I was pleasantly surprised with some of the deals I picked up. I shopped at the south Ankeny store.
For starters Chex cereal is on sale for $1.50 a box, which in itself is a great deal. There are coupons for $1.00/2 out there. I was able to get 8 boxes for $1 a piece! I use this cereal mainly for chex mix snack mix so this makes a super cheap and easy snack.
Pepsi 2 liters were on sale for $.69. There wasn't much left on the shelves but there was a display at the back of the store near the dairy section. Hubby was with me and noticed that on the Pepsi Max there was $1.00/2 peelies. We only found 2 with the peelie but it would be worth another look once they restock the shelves. We were able to score 4 2 liters for $.19 each.
Also there was hanging coupons next to the Sierre Mist. If you bought 4 you got $1.00 off. This made them $.44 each.
Tones spices were on sale 3/$1. If you use your $1/2 coupons you can get 3 spices for free.
Not sure if these deals are at every store but it is worth a check if you use any of these products. I saved $18.50 using coupons tonight.

I had on my shopping list Saltine crackers (sale price $1.99 - $1/2 coupon) and there was a peelie underneath them for $1.00 off any one soup, chili or tuna when you bought 1 saltine. I bought the $1.29 tuna packages for 29 cent tuna. I love Fareway - they do everything they can to save us money. It is the only store I have seen that not only price matches but also hangs Hy-Vee's sale ad under the product that is on sale.
