During the month of October we celebrated 4 birthdays and 1 anniversary. Instead of purchasing cards I decided to make them. It really didn't take much time and I think they turned out really well.
It took about about 40 minutes of my time to make the cards you see above. Instead of buying cards for special occasions I am going to try and continue to make them. My plan is to sit down each month and figure out what events we have coming up and then I can make all my cards at once. I am sure I could even make some cards to have on hand when events pop up.
Not only am I saving money by making my own cards I can add a bit more of a personal touch to each one that you don't get with store bought cards.

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea. My problem is planning ahead, but I have a lot of fun making cards, too.
ReplyDeleteI always prefered a homemade card over a store bought one.
