Homemade Bread

I did some experimenting with a couple different bread recipes. I found this one very easy.

Ingredients~
3 3/4 cup of flour
1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
1 packet (1/4 oz) of dry yeast
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation~
Dissolve yeast in the warm water.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, salt, oil, and yeast with warm water, and mix until thoroughly blended. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let sit for 30 minutes.

Add 1 1/2 cups flour to the yeast mixture and mix with hands to form an adhesive dough. Turn out onto a floured work surface and knead until dough is smooth and does not stick to hands.

Make the Loaves~
Shape into 2 loaves. Place onto a nonstick cookie sheet and place on the middle rack in a cold oven for 15 minutes.

Turn oven on to 425 degrees and bake in the middle rack for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool on rack

Yield~
Approximately two 1 pound loaves.
