While I love shopping at clearance racks or garage sales for most of our clothing every now and then I also try and hit a thrift store. A few of the second hand stores around here are not very nice and I am lucky to come out of there with 1 or 2 articles of clothing that we really like after spending 2 hours sifting through jammed racks.
Last night however I took my 13-year old to Goodwill to look for some shorts. He has gone from a size 12 to a size 16 in one year. Needless to say, none of his clothes fit from last summer. So, I thought we would check at the thrift store to see what we could find. We only had about 30 minutes but in that 30 minutes we found:
1 Aeropostale shirt for son
1 pair of Nike shorts for son
1 pair of Champion shorts for son (with Iowa State Cyclones written on leg~his favorite college team)
and my favorite bargain was this:
I spent $15.95
Super cute vest! I left the recipe for the Party Bread I was telling you about over at my blog! It really is a party in your mouth!! :) Maybe I'll send T over with a piece for you to try.
ReplyDeleteGreat trip! Sometimes those fantastic finds are few and far between, but when you do find the really good ones, it feels oh so sweet. Some of my favorite clothes are a pair of Eddie Bauer shorts and Ann Taylor pants that I found at a thrift store for cheap. Gotta love a bargain.
