Making Mint Tea

I received some mint leaves from my mother-in-law this past weekend. She has a very large plant and I am hoping to take part of that plant home with me one of these days. For now I had a few clippings of leaves. With this I made some wonderful mint tea.

I love drinking mint tea at night. It helps soothe my tummy aches that I have quite frequently.

Bring one gallon of water to a boil and add in approximately 15 leaves. Turn off stove and allow to steep for 15 minutes. Sift out leaves. You can add more or less leaves to taste. This post is linked to Simple Lives Thursday at A Little Bit of Spain in Iowa.

  5. I've been drinking "mint water". My mint has exploded in growth this year. so I took several leaves, and placed them in a large tea infuser ball and dropped that into the water pitcher. Place in the fridge and YUMMM mint water.

  7. My husband has been trying to get rid of my orange mint plant (that he calls a weed) for a long time. He just hoes it back all the time. The other day, he wanted a Mint Julep with fresh mint and I had the hardest time finding any left. I will have to make him a gallon of this mint tea and maybe he will leave it alone. Sounds so refreshing! Found you on the blog hop "Simple Lives Thursday'.
