Harvest

Here is some of our garden produce. My youngest son loves to work in the garden with me! We have been busy harvesting peppers, onions, zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes. My melons are doing ok. The watermelon is getting big but the cantaloupe are struggling. We have gotten so much rain and it has really been traumatic to my garden.

My tomatoes were stricken with early blight but they have really come through for me. I didn't use any chemicals on them and they still survived. I have been picking a few each day. So far I have canned 14 quarts of tomatoes. I will use them alot this Fall and Winter for soups and chili.

My pumpkins are doing well and I have been harvesting about a handful of raspberries everyday. I am hoping to plant a fall crop of lettuce and spinach. I miss my lettuce!

How is your garden doing?

  1. I miss my lettuce too, but it is slow to come up (I already planted my fall crops). A rabbit ate my peas and I am so upset, I was really looking forward to them. Your peppers look great!
