Toddlers and Chickens

I really don't know who is more entertaining to watch. My little girl talking and playing with the chickens or the chickens following and playing with my little girl.

They equally enjoy each others company. She's trying to get them to come to her by offering them mulch.Apparently it works. She isn't afraid when they take it out of her hands. She just smiles. Here is a picture of one of my Buffs. She is one of my favorites. So sweet and she will let you pick her up anytime. I'm still trying to decide what kind and how many chicks to add to our flock this year. It will be time to order chicks here soon. I am excited to have some new babies!

  1. Reminds me of when my son was around 4, he loved our chickens. One day he tried to give one a bath, unfortunately that didn't end well.

  5. So sweet! Reminds me of a funny story, we had a mean rooster growing up and it would attack us! One day near Christmas I swiped a Christmas garland a headed to the swing in the backyard. I wrapped it around me ( I have no idea why, I was only about 6) and that stupid thing attached me and I was stuck! My grandma came to the rescue with a broom moments later!! I hope you never find yourself with an aggressive one!
