Hallmark Recordable Storybook Review and Giveaway!

Hallmark now offers over 20 wonderful books from their recordable storybook library.  You can still read to your child even when you can't be there.  I love this idea!  There are lots of great books to choose from.  I was very happy to see that they had a couple of my family's favorites like "Goodnight Moon" and "Love You Forever".

Hallmark recently added 2 new books to their collection, "The Wish My Heart Makes for You" and "You're a Hero!  All the Ways You Save the Day".

My family was lucky enough to receive a copy of the new recordable storybook, "The Wish My Heart Makes for You" for review.  I was very excited when I received the book and was anxious to see how it worked.  Recording the story was very easy.  The book came with easy directions.  All you do is unscrew the battery box (tiny screwdriver needed) to begin then read the story aloud and it will record your voice.

Since I am home all day I do the majority of the reading.  So I got to thinking how fun would it be to have grandma record her voice so that she could read to them.

My kids loved it. The sound quality is pretty good and my kiddos thought it was way cool hearing grandma's voice reading to them.  This is my first experience with recordable storybooks and I love the idea.  I think it would make a perfect gift for any child.  I am excited to look into some other recordable books in the future.

Now for the Giveaway!  Hallmark is offering one lucky Learning the Frugal Life reader the chance to win a recordable storybook of their very own.  That's not all.  Hallmark is sponsoring the Disney on Ice Tour "100 Years of Magic" that is traveling across the U.S.  with a stop here in my hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.  Along with the storybook you will also receive a family 4-pack of tickets to attend Disney on Ice "100 Years of Magic" at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.  Tickets are for the Saturday November 24th performance at 5pm.  If your not local, you can still enter to receive the book.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post letting me know which one of the two new recordable storybook titles you would choose, "The Wish My Heart Makes for You" or "You're a Hero!  All the Ways You Save the Day".

This giveaway will end  Wednesday, November 14th at midnight.

If you don't already, make sure to follow me on Facebook or subscribe via email above for all the latest posts and updates.

Good Luck!

Disclaimer: I received the storybook for review along with tickets to Disney on Ice. No further compensation was given. All opinions are 100% mine.

  22. I would definitely choose the book "The Wish My Heart Makes for You" and I, too, would have my daughter's grandmother read it. It's such a priceless gift to have a recording of a far-away family member's voice so that it's always familiar to your child.
